The Lab at Pocahontas Memorial
Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7
days a week. The hallmark of the
lab's services is same day results for
tests performed in house. The Lab is
proud to serve the community and
is actively involved with outreach
activities like the annual Health
Fairs, the Cardiac Project, and
drug screening projects.
What does the clinical lab offer?
The
lab provides laboratory testing in the areas of Chemistry, Hematology,
Coagulation Monitoring, Urinalysis, Microbiology,
Transfusion Services,
and Serological procedures.
What’s special about PMH’s clinical lab?
The highlight of the clinical lab is same day test results because
practically all tests are conducted in house. These results
are sent electronically to the medical provider. The staff takes great pride in providing the community with accurate and
same day results.

Who makes up the clinical lab staff?
Kathy Irvine is the laboratory manager and has been with PMH for 31
years. Serving as assistant manager is Joyce Doss,
who has been with PMH for 29 years. Elias Pollack, Whitney Fedak, Heather Thompson, Michael Stewart, and
Brandy Sharp also work as clinical staff.
