What is Respite Care?
Respite Care is the provision of short-term relief for caregivers who need a vacation or time away. Providing fulltime care for an individual can sometimes be overwhelming—PMH wants to help. PMH can give caregivers peace of mind that their loved ones are receiving personalized and dedicated care while they are away.
Does a person have to have a “medical reason” to qualify for Respite Care?
No “medical reason” is necessary AT ALL to qualify for the Respite Care program. As long as there is bed space available, PMH is more than happy to accept any individual into the program.
Care is also a great option for patients who have had surgery or
illness and do not have a place to go after getting out of hospital
How long does Respite Care last?
An individual can stay at PMH up to 14 days.
How much does Respite Care cost?
Respite Care is entirely private paid and costs $165.00 day. This cost covers an individual’s room, food, and personal nursing care.
What should a person bring with them for Respite Care?
An individual needs to bring all medications, concentrator, and any necessary medical supplies. PMH will not provide these things.
