Dr. Kelby Faulkiner
A familiar face has rejoined the emergency team at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital this month, to the delight of PMH staff and patients alike. Dr. Kelby Faulkiner, DO is again on the working schedule for PMH and helping to provide 24/7 emergency medical care for Pocahontas County and surrounding areas.
Dr. Faulkiner has practiced emergency and family medicine since 2004, after serving active duty with the US Army for five years and in the US Army Reserves for nine years. He served overseas in Wuersburg, Germany and Baghdad, Iraq. Dr. Faulkiner has most recently been a physician at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, but has also worked at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Summersville Regional Medical Center, and Webster County Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Faulkiner is a 2001 graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and in his very spare time enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and farming. He and his wife/family live in Frankford, West Virginia.
PMH’s Emergency Department is staffed with a professional, caring team whose goal is to provide high quality medical care as efficiently as possible. The Emergency Department is fully staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ambulance service and inter-facility services are available, as well as emergency helicopter when needed. PMH is proud to be a Level IV Trauma Center.
