Pocahontas Memorial Hospital is very proud of its growing Rehabilitation Services Program with the recent addition of Marianna Grudziak, a 2014 graduate of Temple University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Marianna completed clinicals in inpatient acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient services in facilities such as Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia and Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital in Lancaster. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both Natural Science and Marketing.
Marianna is excited about working at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital and developing real relationships with her patients from their inpatient stay until after they are discharged and returning as an outpatient. Marianna is no stranger to Pocahontas County as she has visited Snowshoe Mountain many times in the past and considers herself a true outdoor enthusiast.
Marianna will be joining fellow newcomer, Jason Riffe, Rehabilitation Services Program Director, in providing a full range of physical therapy services for the community. Jason is a Physical Therapist Assistant and graduated at the top of his class from Mountain State University in Beckley. He is already a familiar face in Pocahontas and Greenbrier Counties, having worked for Amedysis Home Health for several years.
In addition to physical therapy, PMH’s Rehabilitation Services offers occupational therapy and speech therapy. The goal of the program is to restore patients’ abilities following surgery, medical events, or trauma. Services are available both on an inpatient and outpatient level. If your regular doctor recommends that you seek one of these types of therapies, you can schedule an appointment with PMH’s program just like any other therapy office.
If you are in need of physical, occupational, or speech therapy services, please contact the department at 304-799-1307.
