New Online “Patient Portal” Available for RHC Patients

BUCKEYE, WV: The Pocahontas Memorial Hospital Rural Health Clinic is very pleased to now be able to offer clinic patients easy and private online access to their medical information.  On Monday, February 3rd, the new “Patient Portal” went live, and patients can view their personal health record whenever and wherever they have access to the internet.
In addition, patients can view and request appointments, request prescription refills, receive educational materials, send and receive private messages with clinic staff, and even view and request referrals to specialists.  Have trouble remembering to get your flu shot or other other vaccinations?  The Patient Portal allows you to set and receive special health reminders.

To begin using the Patient Portal, all you have to do is speak with a RHC staff member at your next visit.  Once you have signed a consent form and provided your personal email address, you will receive an email containing instructions on how to securely log in to the portal, which can be found at portal.pmhwv.org.  You will then be able to access your personal health record from any computer or smartphone with an internet connection.

The Rural Health Clinic is striving to be a “Patient Centered Medical Home” and as such, welcomes patients of all ages to see them for preventative healthcare services, including well child checks and women’s health, as well as chronic disease management.  To make an appointment, please call the clinic at 304-799-6200.  The clinic is open seven days a week during the following hours: Monday thru Saturday 8:30 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  Registration for the clinic is at the front desk of the hospital.  Walk-ins are always welcome.
