Emergency Services at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital include a 24/7 Emergency Department as well as Ambulance Service. Our Emergency Department is very proud to be a Level IV Trauma Center.

Pocahontas Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department provides 24 hour emergency care with a nurse and physician on duty at all times. The hospital was recently designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. As a trauma care center, PMH is now equipped to monitor, stablize, and evaluate critical patients to determine if they need to be transferred to a higher level of care. Helicopter transfer is available for extremely critical cases. Doctors and nurses who will work on trauma cases have received specialized training.
